Anyone anywhere in the world who loves to cook and who is interested in learning how to cook Filipino food recipes only needs a working internet connection in order to be able to access and download famous Filipino food or pagkaing Pinoy recipes online at the lutong bahay website. One need not even be a Filipino to do so. Non-Filipinos are just as welcome at the site.

Please make sure you know that the lutong bahay website is different from lutong pinoy.com, though. The lutong bahay site is a thriving community of Filipinos and non-Filipinos whose common interest is cooking and who want to learn and perfect the cooking of Filipino dishes in particular. It is a virtual place where old friends can reconnect and new friends can be met while sharing cooking tips.

Filipino lutong bahay foods like Pinoy breakfast recipes, viands or lutong ulam recipes, and snacks or merienda recipes are presented along with special occasion recipes at the lutong bahay website. The free recipes are matched with pictures from the Philippines to showcase Pilipino cuisine.

There are probably several hundreds of Filipino dishes produced by Filipino or Pinoy cooking. It is, after all, a known fact worldwide that Filipinos are passionate about good food and feasting. Even the simplest Filipino celebration held in the poorest barrio of the Philippines always serves delicious Philippine dishes. The dishes need not be expensive to be delectable. Philippine or Pilipino foods recipes originated from contributions made by the Malay, Chinese, Spanish and American influences in Philippine history but these have all been melded together through generations of use by families to create the Filipino cuisine. While most of the traditional recipes still survive, there are even more variations and new spin off dishes produced from them.

Filipino cooking, in general, is called mga lutong Pinoy or lutong Pilipino. Home cooked food, in particular, is called mga lutong bahay or lutuing bahay in Filipino. Many of the best healthy and easy Filipino foods recipes can be located at the online collection of lutong Pinoy free recipes or lutong bahay free recipes from the Philippines. Since not everyone has enough time to always cook from scratch, the list also contains Mama Sita recipes which use ready mixes for recreating traditional Filipino recipes.

Several different versions of the lutong Pinoy menu may be created by a merry mix and match of various regional specialties, such as Ilocano, Pampanga, Tagalog and Visayan foods, dishes and recipes, among others. These menus could, for instance, include the Batangas bulalo recipe of Batangas province, the pancit chami recipe from Lucena, Quezon and the pigar pigar recipe of carabao beef from Dagupan, Pangasinan. Vegetable recipes such as sinigang sa bayabas, sinigang sa miso, ginisang togue and perhaps a saluyot recipe could also be included.

Philippine seas and lakes have a bounty of fish and seafood widely represented in Filipino food recipes. These include the seafood kare kare recipe, the popular sweet and sour lapu - lapu recipe, the Spanish sardines recipe, the rellenong pusit recipe, the crab Maritess recipe and the ginataang tilapia recipe which used to be made in a palayok or earthen pot.

Other free Filipino recipes to download at lutong bahay include the Jollibee style spaghetti recipe, siopao sauce recipe, hopia recipe, sylvanas recipe and best ube chiffon cake recipe. There are also related articles like the one on the Lanzones Festival 2010.

Why I Make Simple Raw Food Recipes

Usually my raw food recipes are nothing more than a couple of ingredients.  Something like a blueberry banana smoothie is nothing more than bananas and blueberries (and water, if that counts).

Why is that?  Why don't I offer more complicated recipes?

Complicated Recipes Digest Poorly

Sure, the typical raw recipes you find with lots of flavor-enhancing spices and texture-improving fats are tasty.  But are they really healthy for you?

Dr. Douglas Graham, author of The 80/10/10 Diet: Balancing Your Health, Your Weight, and Your Life, One Luscious Bite at a Time, has a great saying (I believe it's from the Perfect Health Program) that:

"If it looks like pizza and if it tastes like pizza, it is going to digest just like pizza."

In other words, while you may be eating "raw" pizza made up of dehydrated flax seeds, avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, agave nectar, salt, etc., you are still eating a poorly combined, fatty, sugary, salty meal.

Yes, the raw pizza recipes are clearly better for you than the real thing.

 But BETTER doesn't mean HEALTHY.

I eat raw because I want to be healthy and I'm sure you do too.  That is why I consume simple, properly combined raw food recipes that digest easily, fuel my body, and taste delicious.

Are Your Recipes Simple and Healthy or Complicated and Junky?

There's an easy way to find out if your raw recipes are healthy or not.  Once you finish a meal, simply listen to your body.

Is your stomach gurgly?  Are you bloated?  Are you gassy?  Do you feel numb and/or fatigued?  Do you have an unpleasant taste in your mouth?

All of these are signs that the food you ate did not agree with you.

You likely ate a poorly combined meal, probably high in fat and sugar.

Go raw and be fit,

Deciding to go on a detoxification diet is not something you should do without input from your doctor.Visit Here http://bbc-food-network.blogspot.com

You have to be reasonably healthy to handle a detox diet, especially if you are considering one of the more extreme detox diets, like a detox juice fast or a 21-day detox program. But no matter which detox diet you eventually choose, you will help your cause greatly by using a sample detox diet to let you prepare in advance the foods you'll be eating through your detox program.

Having the guidance of a sample detox diet is one safeguard against your diving into the temptation of unhealthy junk or fast foods in the middle of your detox program, when you'll be subsisting on organic fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Looking At A Sample Detox Diet

The typical sample detox diet has you beginning each day with an eight ounce glass of purified water into which you have squeezed the juice of half a fresh lemon.

You will follow this "lemonade" with fresh organic fruit of your choice eaten fifteen and thirty minutes before your "real" breakfast, so that you help your digestive system prepare for what's coming.

For your breakfast on a sample detox diet you can have any whole grains except wheat or corn. Try buckwheat, amaranth, quinoa, or brown rice for variety, because any one of them is rich in fiber and will fill you up while cleansing your digestive tract.

Your sample detox diet will let you have a mid morning snack of fresh fruit, so why not go with what's seasonal? Fresh berries or watermelon are wonderful in the summer, as are apples in the fall.

Whatever food you eat on your sample detox diet should be thoroughly chewed, so that your hunger pangs will be satisfied.

And for as long as you follow your sample detox diet, drink at least eight eight-ounce glasses of purified water each day, as well as all the freshly squeezed organic fruit and veggie juices, and herbal teas, as you can manage.

Sample Detox Diet Recipe

To give you an idea of what you can look forward to on your sample detox diet, here's a recipe for roasted cauliflower which is rich in immune-boosting, system-cleansing antioxidants and easy to prepare as well.

Cut tow medium heads of cauliflower into florets; toss them in a bowl with one-quarter cup of organic cold-pressed olive oil and sea salt to taste: place them in a large roasting pan and roost in a 400F oven for thirty minutes. Absolutely delicious!Visit Here http://bbc-food-network.blogspot.com

Dog Food Recipes For a Healthier Dog

There are many dog food recipes listed on the Internet, but you need to be certain that the ingredients meet your dog's nutritional needs.

While I do think that home made dog food is the best way to a healthier dog, I would suggest you learn as much as you can about the subject before you look at recipes.

The proper amount of Proteins, Fats, Carbohydrates, Minerals, Vitamins and Water are all the basic nutrients needed for a healthy dog. The key is you need to learn to feed your dog a balanced diet that includes the nutrients listed above.

Every dog is different and that is why commercially processed pet food fails miserably when it comes to keeping our dogs healthy. There is no way they can come up with a commercially made dog food recipe that will be right for every dog.

With home made dog food recipes you can tailor the dog food recipe to the age, breed and current health of your dog.

You make enough to last a week or two and by freezing it you beat the need for preservatives.

While I'm going to include a few dog food recipes below I can't stress how important it is to learn how to recognize the needs of your dog and therefore selecting dog food recipes that will be the most beneficiary for him.

Canine Meat and Grain Menu 2 cups cooked brown rice 2/3 cup Lean beef 2 teaspoons lard -- or veggie oil 1/4 cup vegetables --no onion *Supplements Mix the above. You can cook the meat if you want to, use your judgment. Serve slightly warm. *For supplements, add 2 tsp. powder and 1 tsp. oil to feed daily- now this is for a 5-15 lb. dog, and the book instructs to use double supplements for a puppy.

Chow Chow Chicken 2 chicken thighs -- or white meat 1 stalk celery -- sliced thick 3 carrot -- peeled and halved 2 small potato --peeled and cubed 2 cups rice -- uncooked Place chicken pieces in large pot.

Cover with cold water (5 -6 cups). Add carrots, celery, and potatoes to water. Add salt to taste if you want. Cover and simmer on low heat about 2 hours until the chicken becomes tender. Add the rice, cover and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes until the rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Remove soup from heat. Pull the chicken meat off the bone ( if will practically fall off), discard bones. Return shredded pieces to pot. Stir well. Let cool. Store in the refrigerator or freeze.
